The category gets organized

The wild-west phase is ending. The consumer peptide channels are being banned and raided; the FTC and FDA are circling the gray market; and what replaces it is wholesale-only B2B infrastructure — 503A/503B sourcing networks, physician oversight, integrated financing, and one login for the entire practice economy.

Muscle is the currency

Dr. Gabrielle Lyon's muscle-centric medicine went mainstream with Forever Strong, and the clinical consensus moved with it: lean mass is the organ of longevity — the thing that protects against the falls, the frailty, and the glucose curves that end healthspans early.

The clinic is the new gym

The longevity clinic stopped being a concept and became a membership business. The medspa market — $21 billion in 2024, projected toward $78 billion by 2033 — began consolidating around recurring protocol plans.

Dr. Peter Attia's Outlive became the category's defining book, and The Drive podcast became its faculty lounge. The result in clinics across the country: patients now arrive educated, asking for protocols by name.

The trillion-dollar signal

Eli Lilly became the first pharmaceutical company in history to cross $1 trillion in market value, powered by GLP-1 drugs. Wall Street's answer was fast: J.P. Morgan projected the incretin market at $200 billion by 2030.

03 · The leading voices

The doctors who wrote the category's vocabulary

From TED stages to the most-cited podcasts in medicine, these are the clinicians and scientists whose work built the category the market is now funding. Start anywhere — their lectures, books, and interviews are the curriculum.

Dr. Peter Attia

Physician · Author, Outlive

The category's translator. His TED talks and The Drive podcast moved longevity from the lab to the living room — and "Medicine 3.0" into practice economics.

Dr. David Sinclair

Harvard Geneticist · Author, Lifespan

His TED talk on why we age remains one of the most-watched in the field. The sirtuin and information-theory work behind half the NAD+ industry.

Dr. Andrew Huberman

Stanford Neuroscientist · Huberman Lab

Brought the mind discipline to millions — sleep, light, dopamine, protocol-driven behavior. Proof the category is neurology as much as endocrinology.

Dr. Mark Hyman

Functional Medicine Pioneer

Made food-as-medicine a working clinic model and a bestseller shelf. The bridge from traditional practice to longevity practice design.

Dr. Valter Longo

USC · Creator, Fasting-Mimicking Diet

Turned fasting science into a clinical protocol used in practices worldwide — the model for a measured, sellable, repeatable program.

Dr. Nir Barzilai

Einstein College of Medicine · TAME Trial

Leading the scientific case that aging itself is a treatable condition — the trial the FDA world is watching.

Dr. Gabrielle Lyon

Muscle-Centric Medicine · Author, Forever Strong

Made lean mass the clinical priority of the category — and gave practices the protocol with the best adherence in the field.

Dr. Peter Diamandis

XPRIZE Founder · Fountain Life

Made longevity investable at planetary scale — the $101M Healthspan prize and the longevity-clinic chain model.

Bryan Johnson

Blueprint · The Civilian Proof

Not a physician — the civilian who made protocols a headline, a movement, and then a $60M company. The demand curve, personified.

04 · The wealth, being created now

Positive stories, real money, honest math

The molecule makers

The first trillion

Eli Lilly's climb past $1 trillion in market value on GLP-1s, with Novo Nordisk beside it as Europe's most valuable company — the fastest wealth creation in pharmaceutical history, built on the same category of medicine practices prescribe every day.

The practice owners

$21B to $78B

The medspa and longevity-clinic economy is compounding at roughly 16% a year. The winners are ordinary practice owners who added recurring protocol revenue — GLP-1 management, peptide programs, hormones — to rooms they already owned.

The channel builders

The associate economy

The newest layer: professionals who represent platforms to practices — corporate pharmacy sales pros, entrepreneurs, and fitness coaches earning recurring revenue for the life of every account they open. The same B2B wealth model that built every great distribution industry, arriving in longevity.

05 · The PrimeBodyMind playbook

Seven best practices, distilled from the record

  1. 01

Sell the system, not the syringe.

Protocols as memberships, not injections as transactions. Recurring revenue is the entire model.

  2. 02

Meet the informed patient with documentation.

They arrive holding a podcast. Answer it with clinical precision or lose them to someone who will.

  3. 03

    Close in the same visit.

A high-ticket plan without financing at the point of decision is a plan that dies in the follow-up call.

  4. 04

    Buy wholesale, always.

503A/503B sourcing networks exist so practices stop paying retail and start compounding margin.

  5. 05

    One login beats nine subscriptions.

Fragmented software is the silent tax on every practice that hasn't consolidated.

  6. 06

Choose the clinical channel, not the consumer channel.

The gray market is being banned; the compliance-first practice economy is being built. One of them has a future.

  7. 07

Position before the wave, not on it.

XPRIZE therapies, GLP-1 expansion, and clinic consolidation are all moving in one direction. Early with standards beats late with budget.

06 · Notes from the founder's desk

Why this journal exists

I've spent my career building sales organizations and healthcare commerce infrastructure — turning fast-growing categories into systems that work on a Tuesday morning, not just in a pitch deck. I don't claim to be the smartest person in longevity. I've simply been in enough emerging markets to know what an organized one looks like when it arrives, and this is that.

PrimeBodyMind is my running record of it: the doctors worth reading, the numbers worth trusting, the practices worth copying, and the wealth being created — honestly, transparently, and mostly by unglamorous people who showed up early and did the work. If it helps you see the category more clearly, it has done its job.

One life. This is it. Build accordingly.
